Roseworks Therapy

My Approach
I work with individual adults experiencing a wide variety of mental health concerns. I specialize in trauma and addiction. I also have significant experience working with ADHD, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, religious trauma, and parenting.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, so I may pull from any theoretical orientation that I believe will be helpful to you. I see myself as a fellow traveler with you on your journey towards health and wellness, rather than someone who has all the answers for you. I believe you possess the potential to heal from your past wounds and become the person you were meant to be. My job in this process is simply to help you connect to this innate potential within yourself and to help identify and remove the barriers to peace and well-being in your life. I’ll take a holistic approach to our time together, which means I believe that the mind, body and spirit are all intrinsically connected, and we can’t effectively address problems in one area without looking at the whole picture. I may use personal self-disclosure to normalize your experience and equalize the power differential inherent in the therapeutic relationship, and our work may include looking at all of the social, cultural, and political factors that affect your life.

In addition to talk therapy I use somatic interventions and EMDR to work with trauma and anxiety.

I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University in June of 2017, completing my graduate level internship with King County’s YWCA Community Mental Health. After graduation I joined the Cedar Valley Counseling team in February of 2018 and started Roseworks Therapy in 2022. When I’m not working, I love to spend time at home with my children and my cats. I also enjoy reading, concerts, and walks in the woods.

Thanks for taking the time to learn about me and my approach to therapy, I look forward to meeting you!
